Jeffrey Davidson is an accomplished management consultant and executive with experience ranging from Fortune 100 companies to diverse small businesses. Alternating his career between consulting and management positions, he has achieved success in both arenas. He is a successful turn-around specialist, specializing in training, improving operations, and building management systems.
Mr. Davidson started his career while still attending Purdue University, teaching the course Student Leadership Development and developing a train-the-trainer workshop for the U.S. Naval Reserves. After Purdue, he worked outside of Chicago, IL with SpaceCom Systems? Chicago International Teleport. Initially hired as a Performance Analyst, within two months he was selected to serve as department head for support functions within the satellite uplink division; coordinating multiple independent areas; A/R, A/P, administration and facilities, including project manager for a multi-million dollar construction project.
During this time Mr. Davidson started consulting, focusing on companies with less than 25 employees. Some of the projects he worked on were: reducing the sales cycle by 50-75% for NationsFirst Financial Corp.; improving the bookkeeping and order tracking system for Corporate Concierge Service, allowing them to increase capacity for 50% business growth; developing a business plan for Cinnamon Creek Construction, allowing the owner to refinance with bankers to reduce debt by 25%; and coaching the founder of a Halsik Ltd, manufacturer of a private-label cosmetic company.
After moving to Dallas, Mr. Davidson served as Operations Manager for Lord & Castle, a start-up company using direct marketing to sell window treatments. Some of his accomplishments include: building a Microsoft Access-based order tracking/inventory system for the factory; marketing analysis for 10 separate campaigns; and functional design of website to handle 200,000 SKUs in 10 product classes.
Mr. Davidson then worked for The Accessory Group, Ltd as Vice-President of Operations, responsible for customer service and accounting departments where he reduced customer problem resolution time by 90%; from 60 days to 7. Over the next year he was given additional departments to oversee and eventually asked by the parent company to serve as President. Along with initiating a nationwide sales force, integrating an e-commerce engine, and reorganizing departments/functions, he was able to significantly improve the
company's finances by reducing the company's reoccurring losses by $500,000 in 12
months.
